Spirit West Coast
Date: May 23-26	Cost: $125.00
Description:  We will be traveling to Spirit West Coast in Del Mar on May 23-26. You won’t want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! There will be 70+ Rockin Christian bands on different stages and there will be amazing opportunities to hear some great speakers, comedians, and to get some autographs. We will be departing from Hillside Community Church at 4pm May 23rd and returning Monday morning May26th. While in Del Mar you will experience great times with friends while camping out & hanging out at the skate park, basketball hoops, rock climbing wall, or their many inflatables. Breakfast and snacks for lunch will be provided, but dinner is on your own and the cost for this splendid trip is $125.00 per person.

Promotion Weekend

Senior Banquet

Description:  A night to honor our senior class, as their parents join in and reflect on their lives over the past eighteen years.
S.M.A.R.T.
Date: June 14	Time:   7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description:   Bring two towels and meet at the Auto Specialists on Foothill.  We will be washing cars in an effort to bless the single moms in our community.
Summit Small Groups Kick-Off
Date: June 17	Time:  7:00 -  9:00 p.m.
Description:  These groups will run from June 16th-August 18th (excluding week of July 4th  and Summer Camp) We will be introducing the theme, going over the details for the summer planned groups and getting excited for all to come. *Registration Form
Elevate '08
Date: June 20-22	Cost:  $60.00
Description:  Get ready for the best weekend of your summer. 3 days in sunny Orange County seeking God and having the time of your life. We will be staying at the camp grounds at San Onofre State Park just steps from the beach. Surf camp, Elevate challenge, music, games, beach cruisers and amazing food guarantees a fun filled retreat. Best of all we have an amazing guest speaker who will be teaching and encouraging us in Christ and some killer worship. So do whatever you have to, to get the funds to be able to attend the best summer event ever--Elevate '08. Sign up deadline is June 15th.
Serving at the GAP Foodbank

Description:  Join us as we go out and serve the community we live in.  Our mission is to bless others, but come to experience how God and the people we serve, in return bless us!
Day Hike to Cucamonga Creek
Date: June 28	Time:  11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Description:  Pack a picnic lunch, your swimsuit and meet us for a hike!  We will leave HCC and head up Sapphire to hike to Cucamonga Creek.  The Hike is super mild so don’t let that scare you out of this refreshing opportunity!  *HCC Liability

Surfing at Huntington Beach
Date: July 1	Time:
Description:  Join the Hillside kids and families at the beach for surf lessons.  This is a great time to get to know your church family and get an awesome tan!
Upward Bound Sports Camp
Date: July 7-11	Time:   7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Description:  Rally up the troops and head out to Los Osos or RC High school to assist and maintain the flow of the camp.  Plus, rides in golf carts? Why not!  Lunch Included!
Open Gym Video Night
Date: July 8	Time:   7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Description: Come up to HCC for a night of indoor games and an outdoor video.  The cost is free, so bring your friends and relax or play it up!  You won’t want to miss this!
Video Scavenger Hunt
Date: July 15	Time:   6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Description:  Meet at HCC to get into groups and car assignments.  Then as a group go around Rancho, with missions you must complete all the while video taping their completion for proof.  Once complete, return to HCC in attempts to beat all other groups.  After all the chaos, relax and enjoy some dessert for your hard work.  Cost $2. *HCC Liability
Quakes Game Faith Night
Date: July 19	Time:  6:30 p.m.
Description: Meet at Quakes Stadium for a night of baseball integrated with faith.  A great night filled with fellowship, hotdogs and America’s Pastime. Purchase your tickets at the stadium.
Thousand Pines Summer Camp
Date: July 20-25	Cost:   $370.00
Description:  This week couldn’t be more packed-- with sermons from a guest speaker, awesome worship, video, rec time, and memories that will never be forgotten.  The total cost is $370 due by 7/13, with a $150 deposit and signed liability forms due by 6/17!!!!!  *Registration, HCC & TP Liability, Behavior Covenant          No Wide Open this week.
AUGUST 2008
Catalina Island Day Trip
Date: August 5	Time:   7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Description:  We are heading out for a cruise to Catalina Island.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hand out on the tiny island and soak up the end of summer sun with your friends.  Snorkel, go shopping, hit the beach and have fun!  Cost is $60, tell a friend and sign up soon! *HCC Liability
GNO (Girls/Guys Night Out)
Date: August 12	Time:   6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Description:  Watch for more details on where you will be going.  Take some time to really get to know your leaders and fellow classmates away from the chaos of other summer activities.
Concert of Praise
Date: August 17	Time:   5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Description: Come and hang out with friends and family as we enjoy the jams of our very own high school, Jr. high, and big church bands.  Worship never sounded so sweet!  Cost for dinner is $5. No Wide Open this week.
Board Game Blow Out!
Date: August 19	Time:  6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Description:   We’re bringing out the classic and the contemporary favorites like spoons, catchphrase and bunko.  Be here, because what else sounds as fun?  We guarantee a great time!
