Book of Ephesians

Who is this for? Anyone interested in experiencing this unique thing called "community". More specifically, "Christian" community.

What is that? It all started with the first Christ followers and is described very simply in Acts 2:42, "They devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer".

What are we going to do? Kind of what they did. We're going to "break bread" (actually we're going to eat yummy desserts), we're going to study scripture, the book of Ephesians; we're going to fellowship (get to know each other and maybe have a few laughs along the way); and we're going to support each other in prayer.

Will I have to talk? Absolutely, but you'll never be embarrassed. Will I be expected to pray? Absolutely, but if you can say the words, "God, would you please help my friend this week?" you already know how to pray, so don't worry.

How much does it cost? $15 bucks. This gets you a workbook and eight weeks of yummy desserts and beverages.

Can my spouse and I share a book or workbook? Nope! Each person will need their own materials.

I'm out of work right now, can I get a little financial help? Yep, just come see us, and we'll be delighted for you to be our guest. Someday you'll be able to help others.

Can I come and go during the 8 weeks? We're asking for you to give this a fair shot, and actually make a commitment to be there. The goal is not to be a casual, consumer-oriented, drop-in group, but a group (as rag-tag and motley as it may be) who is really trying to experience community.

Where do we meet? In the main Fireside room.

Who is going to lead this thing? Lesley Walpus and Curtis Miller will be facilitating these evenings.

Haven't we got anybody better than those two? Yep, but when we said there was going to be dessert, they signed up first.
